A Supbloogarium Vulgaris also called the Blue Newt. I just made that up...really just messin' around in Illustrator. I wonder why drawing someone scratching their stomach makes them seem less intelligent or lazy most of the time...interesting...

Shoe Trouble

My Ma wrote a script for a book, so I am taking a crack at illustrating it. This is the main character who has problems keeping his shoes tied. If you want to know the ending, you'll have to wait until the book hits the shelves sometimes next year, mowhahahahha!

Don't mean to post on the same day as my brother, sorry Al. I tried to get it up last night, but got distracted. I wish I could Casper slide...

Okay, I drew this one with the mouse, so it's a bit sloppy. I'd really like to draw something with big, heavy, messy brush strokes that had these guys, and a bunch of other guys, beating the crud out of each other. A comic about some sort of fighting league or something. Hrm.

Workin' hard on the second book about Bo Obama for work. He goes around the world and visits all sorts of places. Here, he's kicking it underwater at the Great Barrier Reef. That's in Australia for those of you who do not know. Did I mention I would like to go there?...

Salty Sea Dog

A buddy of mine, Drew, and I talk about getting a sailboat someday and sailing it all over which would could be pipe dreams, but would be amazingly spectacular. I often hope I end up an old salty sea dog when I get to my later years in life. It's unfortunate I get sea sick by just stepping on a boat if I don't have Dramamine in me. I also really like the sailor illustration by Allen in the second post of this blog with the Kraken attacking the boat in the background. Anyway, these are all inspirations for this character. Thanks for your time. 

Beach Bunny

I finally got some time to take it easy sort of, actually just got back from a trip up to B'ham, AL, and I wanted to do something fun. I had sketched this a long time ago and liked it. Thought it would be fun to color. It was, yo. I'm probably weird, but I think one piece swim suits can be enjoyable to look at. Working on the surfboard really makes me want to get out on the waves soon. It's been awhile with all the work, and the surf hasn't really been on lately. I gost the itch, and it needs some scratchin'...

I'm finishing up the work on a book about the new White House dog, Bo Obama, for work. It's been a rough few weeks with no sleep trying to get this puppy done (get it, puppy...sorry). High-Wired

This is the first of some illustrations I ask my brother, Allen, to come up with to help me practice drawing things I'm not used to drawing. I enjoy trying to get out of my comfort zone. I used to do this sort of exercise with my parents when I was little where I would get them to draw some random squiggle on a piece of paper, and then I would have to turn that into a full drawing of some sort. Good times...oh and for pretty much all of the images in this blog, you can click on them for a bigger view...

Ke Ho'okani Nei Ke Kane Nui Ka Ukulele

As everyone knows (and by everyone,I mean my bro, Allen) I love Hawaii and all that relates to it. I have a few ukuleles that I keep next to me while I work that I pick up and play to break up the monotony. So I drew up a little illustration here in that same spirit. I've been learning Hawaiian, too, so I made him singing in Hawaiian to practice...

I actually sketches this awhile back for a client that dealt with pie when I worked at an ad agency. Felt like coloring it, so I did. Not meant to offend anyone...
