A buddy of mine, Drew, and I talk about getting a sailboat someday and sailing it all over which would could be pipe dreams, but would be amazingly spectacular. I often hope I end up an old salty sea dog when I get to my later years in life. It's unfortunate I get sea sick by just stepping on a boat if I don't have Dramamine in me. I also really like the sailor illustration by Allen in the second post of this blog with the Kraken attacking the boat in the background. Anyway, these are all inspirations for this character.
